CLARE CASCADERS SUMMER CAMP 2012

Clare cascaders will run a summer camp at the Ennistymon Community Centre from July 2nd - 6th. The camp will cater for boys and girls between the ages of 8 to 15. The camp will cater for all standards from beginners to more experienced players and will be an great opportunity for young players to avail of excellent coaching in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. On Sat. March 31st the club held a very successful fundraising 12 hour basketball marathon. All club players from u10s up to senior boys participated from 9am-9pm and the day also included a welcome visit from Bower Buzzer of Athlone whose u16 & u18 girls played the local girls in two friendly matches.The evening concluded with the annual end of season awards withh special guest Jason Killeen of UL Eagles presenting the awards to the worthy receipients.

CLARE LEAGUE DOUBLE FOR CASCADERS

The Cascaders u12 and u14 girls both captured Clare League honours this season.The u12 girls emerged victorious after a very closely contested final with Cooraclare side Bluestars. The u14 girls won their section with a comfortable victory over a very game St. Colmans team from Gort in the final.The u14 boys team reached the final also but were beaten by Bluestars of Cooraclare This was the second season of Clare League blitzes in these age groups and it is hoped to extend this league even further for season 2012-13.
